Paradise Garden Project follow-up 2014

Even a paradise garden needs weeding!
The bindweed thrives despite the added soil and mulch.

Despite a group weeding and planting mid July 2014,
another crew of 5 attacked the weeds again.

These were taken after the bindweed was removed.
(yes it will come back)

Doreen taking a break to plan where to work next.

A new addition, Euphorbia in the foreground.

Despite the poses, were were not playing football.

Weeding here will never end; the "grass"
is mostly weeds. We wonder what
the motorists make of all the bums in the air?

Another close-up of rudbeckia which thankfully survives
in dry, poor soil. (too bad the bindweed does too).
In spite of the rain it was pretty dry under the mulch.
Thanks to Erika Hofmann for the weeding and the pictures,
Andrea and Dorothy Allen, Doreen Murphy and Mary Jane de Koos
for the 2 hours of work in the light rain.
